This orange-eyed tiger was embroidered by Sharmila Dhankutua in Bardiya, Central Nepal, in honor of tigers that live in a nearby National Park. Sharmila then made the tote bag and added her tiger and the stripes before placing her woven signature bottom right.

Sharmila is the youngest of six siblings. She is still traumatized by the memory of how her father disappeared in Nepal and she described the event in a powerful embroidered block for the Bardiya Memorial Quilts.
