About the Mali Bags Project
The Mali bags were created by survivors of gender based-violence in Bamako. The identities of the embroiders has remained confidential for their own safety, but we are fortunate to be able to highlight Abi Konate, the artisan who sewed each embroidered piece into the bags you see above.
