Violet lives in Nairobi with her four children, two of whom have albinism. She currently makes soap and sells it in the market to support her family. Violet was one of twenty members of the Albinism Society of Kenya (ASK) who received embroidery training in the summer of 2021 to make stories for the Kenyan Albinism Quilts. Her story showed a father watching television while his wife cares for their child with albinism. Violet is associated with Shield of Faith, the Kibera women’s association. She says that embroidery simply makes her feel good and happy.
