Rosemary Panashe

Rosemary, 21, lives in Epworth, Zimbabwe. Her mother died when she was young and she now lives with her father, stepfather and two younger siblings. Rosemary is active in the program to empower girls run by Women Advocacy Project (WAP). She first came to embroidery in 2020 when she made a strong block with WAP for the Zimbabwe COVID Quilt about the challenges of collecting water during the pandemic. Rosemary is known as a hard worker and was selected as one of just four girls who produce Clean Girl soap under the WAP program. Her family has struggled to pay her school fees, but she has managed to finish high school and hopes to become a lawyer.
