Miriam lives in Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe and is the youngest of seven children. She is active in the program to empower girls run by Women Advocacy Project (WAP) and came to embroidery in 2020 when she stitched a powerful block about the impact of the pandemic on education for the Zimbabwe COVID Quilt. Miriam hopes to find a market for her embroidery and become an environmental health technician when she completes her studies.
