Lynes, 25, lives in Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe and is active in the program of Women Advocacy Project (WAP) to empower girls through embroidery and making soap. Lynes joined the program as a young single mother. She is an accomplished stitcher and made a powerful block describing the impact of the pandemic on hunger for the Zimbabwe Girls COVID Quilt. Lynes is also a leader in WAP’s program to help girls make and sell “Clean Girl” soap. Her hard work and skills make her a role model for many younger girls in the WAP program.
