Diana lives in the informal settlement of Kangemi, Nairobi with her two young daughters. She learned embroidery while making a block for the Kenyan COVID Quilts project in which she described the devastating impact of the pandemic on Kenyan restaurants. Diana works as a community volunteer and was an early member of the Kangemi Advocacy and Self Help Group, which formed in 2020 to organize embroidery training and launched a highly successful vaccination campaign in the settlement.
