Concepta Imisa is 27 years old. She has two children, a small boy and a girl. Concepta supports her family by working as a casual laborer. She lives in the informal settlement, Kangemi. Concepta has been doing embroidery since 2020, when she joined the Kangemi Self Help Group, an organization focused on supporting women in the informal settlements. Concepta shared that her favorite part of being a member of the embroidery project has been learning a skill. Concepta shared that with the small stipend given she has been able to open a stall at the market and sell produce.
